Step into tranquility at our retreat within the heart of Summerplace bushveld, where the allure of nature unfolds beyond expansive glass doors and windows. Immerse yourself in the serene ambiance, surrounded by uninterrupted, breathtaking views of the reserve from our spacious deck, a haven for wildlife enthusiasts.

Our accommodation comprises four standalone bedroom cottages, each featuring its own en-suite bathroom. For added convenience, Rooms 2 and 4 offer adjacent spaces accommodating two extra guests each, making it an ideal choice for groups or families. The main room in each cottage is furnished with a king bed, convertible into two single beds upon request, adorned with sumptuous 100% cotton linen. Towels are provided for your comfort.

Each bedroom boasts a well-equipped kitchenette complete with a bar fridge and tea-and-coffee-making facilities, ensuring a seamless blend of convenience and comfort.

The open plan sitting room/kitchen/entertainment area has everything you need to make it a home away from home and you can enjoy a fantastic meal sitting around the fire or just chill on the stoep. This entertainment area is large and can be enjoyed by all. The bedrooms are not connected to this central building.​

This private home has a swimming pool set into the deck that you can enjoy after spending time shredding the trails.

​We do offer freshly cooked meals daily – available for order at The Bike Village. We recommend that you book your meals 4 days before arrival as we need preparation time to provide a healthy fresh meal.

In addi:on to our delectable meals, we also bake a temp:ng assortment of farm breads, rolls, and other baked goods. Our bread is made fresh daily, ensuring that you enjoy the perfect texture and taste. To make your dining experience seamless, we offer a pre-order service. Prior to your visit, we will send you a menu so you can choose your desired dishes in advance. On the day of your arrival, our skilled chefs will prepare your selected meals, and our dedicated staff will promptly deliver them to your lodge if you are not ea:ng at the restaurant.

Orders always depend on our availability & must be placed at least 72 hours ahead of :me. Breakfasts / lunches / brunches are served at The Bike Village.
Depending on the size of the booking, dinners will be delivered to your accommoda:on. All meals excludes beverages.

By signing the guest registration form, the guest acknowledges that they are authorized to sign on behalf of all individuals represented by them or for whom they are responsible (“their Party”). In the absence of such authority, the guest agrees to assume personal liability for all expenses incurred during their stay at Summerplace Game Reserve (PTY) Ltd.

Only individuals listed and paid for on the guest registration form are permitted to use the property. Under no circumstances should the total number of occupants in each room exceed the maximum capacity specified by Summerplace Game Reserve (PTY) Ltd. Failure to comply with this rule may result in the client and their party being asked to vacate the premises.

Check-in and check-out :mes may vary, unless otherwise no:fied. Generally, rooms are available for check-in from 2:00 PM on the day of arrival un:l 10:00 AM on the day of departure. Please ensure your arrival is prior to 6:30 PM, as the gate will be locked between 7:00 PM and 6:00 AM. During these hours, access to the property is restricted. We kindly request that you share your live loca:on when you are on your way, allowing us to determine your es:mated :me of arrival.

The client is held responsible for any damage, breakages, or loss to the property or its contents. Summerplace Game Reserve (PTY) Ltd reserves the right to recover any addi:onal costs or charges resul:ng from such incidents from the person who signed the booking form, in case the security deposit, if any, proves insufficient.

The individual who signs the guest registra:on form is accountable for the conduct of all occupants during their stay. If any member of the client’s party engages in behavior deemed unacceptable by societal norms, Summerplace Game Reserve (PTY) Ltd may request the en:re party to vacate the premises without prior no:ce. Addi:onally, it is the responsibility of the client and each person listed on the guest indemnity form to:

  • Cover the costs of any damages or losses to the property, except for reasonable wear and tear.
  • Maintain the room in a clean and :dy condi:on throughout the rental period.
  • Grant Summerplace Game Reserve (PTY) Ltd reasonable access to the room.
  • Refrain from relinquishing possession of the property or sharing it with others.
  • Avoid causing annoyance or disturbance to occupants of adjacent rooms or otherrentals.
  • Refrain from playing loud music, as sound travels and may disrupt other guests.
  • Park vehicles in the designated parking area, without driving on the lawn or in thegarden.•The right of admission is reserved by Summerplace Game Reserve (PTY) Ltd, and they assume no liability for any loss or damage arising from the exercise of this right, as long as it is legal and reasonable.

Summerplace Game Reserve (PTY) Ltd and the property owners do not accept liability for the loss or damage of any valuables or personal property belonging to guests or their visitors. It is the sole responsibility of all guests to arrange adequate insurance coverage for their valuable items before arriving at Summerplace Game Reserve (PTY) Ltd. This includes, but is not limited to, photographic equipment, laptops or other electronic devices, jewellery, cash, and vehicles.

Swimming Pool:
Guests and their visitors who use the swimming pool and its surroundings do so at their own risk. They must acknowledge that no lifeguard or lifesaving facili:es are provided. By using the pool, they fully indemnify Summerplace Game Reserve (PTY) Ltd and the owners of the property, releasing them from any liability for injuries, bodily harm, death, or loss of property that may occur.

To ensure the comfort of all guests, smoking is strictly prohibited inside all units. Smoking is only allowed on designated outside pa:os where ashtrays are provided.

Please use the provided bins for all rubbish, including paper, boales, and cans. Liaering on the property is strictly prohibited.

Parents, guardians, or responsible individuals in charge are solely responsible for minors while they are at Summerplace Game Reserve (PTY) Ltd or u:lizing its facili:es.

Please take note of our strict cancellation policy, which is in place to protect our business from lost bookings. As a small establishment, once a unit is booked, it becomes unavailable for sale on other platforms. Regardless of whether a deposit has been received if a booking is cancelled for any reason, the guest will be held liable for the full payment. Please be aware that verbal and email bookings are considered binding and serve as confirmation of the booking.

The farm dogs:
We are proud to have four delightful dogs and two cats as part of the Summerplace family. While they reside at the main farmhouse, which is located at a distance from the accommodation, they may occasionally visit our guests. If their presence bothers you in any way, please do not hesitate to inform us.

Cancella8on Fees:

  • 15-21 days prior to the arrival date: 50% of the total accommodation costs.
  • 8-15 days prior to the arrival date: 75% of the total accommodation costs.
  • 0-7 days prior to the arrival date: 100% of the total accommodation costs.
  • Non-arrival or premature departure: 100% of the total accommodation costs.Please note that all units, lodges, and homes are self-catering, meaning guests are responsible for their own meals and dining arrangements unless bookings have been made prior to arrival with The Bike Village kitchen.

The fine print

Please inform Summerplace Game Reserve in advance, via WhatsApp of your expected arrival time. For security purposes, the gates lock at 19h00. Please ensure you arrive well before then.

You can make Special Requests when booking, or Book Meals 72 hours in advance. Please contact us via WhatsApp. Please note, all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Guests are required to show photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Guests are required to sign an indemnity form before or on arrival. All outstanding accounts need to be settled before arrival.

This property is noise sensitive. We will kindly ask you to turn down the volume should we receive any complaints from other guests.
